GLOBAL AQUATICS

AQUACULTURE PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOLS
WHERE EVERYONE LEARNS

Every high school science teacher will tell you, although text books and lectures are a major part of teaching the sciences, nothing compares to actual hands on experiences to teach students the fundamental concepts.

Aquaculture labs in high schools and vol-tech schools are one of the most comprehensive ways to teach the widest range of biology and earth sciences to all grade levels in a school system.

While most aquaculture science units are set up to teach older students in grades 9 through 12, the entire student body of a school system can learn from it. Frequent visits to the lab by younger students allow them to see first hand the progress of the older students. The older students get to experience teaching the younger ones the things they have learned which in turn builds educational bonds between both age groups.

From the study of water quality to the study of aquatic animal life, the potential of knowledge from aquaculture is endless. Student studying other subjects can benefit as well. As the science or vol-tech students maintain the fish culture, system business students can monitor the cost of feed, oxygen, electric and other financial factors to produce spread sheets and proformas as though the system were being operated as a commercial system.

There is more to recycling than just bags and cans. Aquaculture, combined with organic hydroponics, demonstrates precisely how nature wastes nothing and everything is reused over and over.

Global Aquatics is committed to environmentally friendly aquaculture and agriculture education for all students of the new millenium. We strive to work with teachers and school system administrators to bring the latest in state of the art learning technologies to the classroom.

REMEMBER- The staff of Global Aquatic will work with all educators to help them succeed in bringing state of the art learning tools to their classrooms.
