A tower of this size is generally used to handle the dentification of multiple tanks using a
central (common) particulate filtration system. When fully loaded with Global Aquatic’s
PVC strand media it contains approximately 40,000 sq. ft. of surface area.
Towers of this design can be custom made to suit the system owners requirement where size is concerned.

 

Perhaps one of the most efficient bio-filters ever designed by Global Aquatics. These towers, constructed of “Steel Core” tm polyurethane, can be as large as 4’x4’x 12’ high (as shown above) or as small as 2’x2’x4’ high depending on the application. Packed with our special PVC material the surface area is up to 250 sq. ft. per cubic feet. The main advantage of an Up-welling filter is that all the water comes into a bottom chamber where any particulate that escape the screen filter can be settled out. Also, since the effluent is leaving at the top this allows for gravity feed back to the culture tank system and a splash degassing.
