PLATE FILTERS

A tank can only be as clean as it's filters are good. Biofilters become little more than BOD generators if the effluent entering them still contains solid waste. One of the most effective and cost efficient components for aquaculture is the "Plate Filter" The "Steel Core" plate filter from Global aquatics is among the best for it's ability to do the job at an affordable price

HOW A PLATE FILTER WORKS

Basically the name tells it all. Inside the rectangular box are a series of filter plates that the effluent must pass through to get to the next stage of filtration, usually the biofilter. The standard plate filter from Global Aquatics has four filter plates that are removable for easy cleaning. In addition there are three flow guide plates to keep the effluent moving up and down as it passes through the plates.

Fittings on this filter include the inlet and outlet as well as a bottom drain. All are PVC adaptable.

Constructed of 14ga. steel with our polyurethane coating through out, this filter will give excellent results for a life time.

When Nasty is good...... Global Aquatics' Plate filters catch everything. The unique interior baffel design creates slow flow jetty areas that trap floating waste on the surface, sinking waste on the bottom and suspended particulate is captured by the filter plates.

The removable plates and bottom drain make daily cleaning easy.
